Johnnie Joe Butner married to JoAnn Ragland Butner for 50 years as of June 25, 2011. He retired from the U.S. Government (U.S. General Accounting Office 1957-1988) and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Southwestern Division) from 1983-1986. He also was in the U.S. Army from June 1951 to June 1953 including service as a legal clerk from 1951 to 1952 and the War Crimes Division in Korea from 1952 to 1953. He also was a stock clerk at Sheppard Air Force Base 1950-1951. Johnnie is survived by his wife JoAnn (Ragland) Butner and son Steven Butner, daughter in law Sophia Butner and granddaughters Emma Butner and Ella Butner. He was a longtime member of The Baptist Church, Bronte, Texas and First Baptist Church, Brock, Texas. Burial With Honors will be held Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 10:15am at Dallas/Ft.
