Larry Russell Carlson passed away peacefully on June 9, 2018 after a long battle with cancer.Larry was born on April 24, 1946 to John Carlson and Selma Soeder Carlson in Dayton, OH. After graduating from Park University (BS) and Central Michigan University (MBA), he served 11 years active duty in the U.S. Air Force.In 1982, Larry relocated to Dallas, TX. After meeting his wife of 12 years, Sue Russell-Carlson, he became actively involved in Highland Park Presbyterian Church. There he participated in the Chancel Choir and Bell Sunday School Class and served on the choir board and as a deacon performing homebound communion.Larry is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife; his children, Michael Carlson (Chun) and Christina Carlson; and four grandchildren.A memorial service will be held at 4:00pm July 13, 2018 at Highland Park Presbyterian Church, 3821 University Boulevard, Dallas, Texas 75205.
