Margie Lynn Chrisman went home to be with her passed away Jesus on October 7, 2013 in Longview, TX. She was 87 years old. Lynn was born in Brownwood, TX to Eynon Joseph and Ona Mary (Huggins) Gilliam and attended school there until her junior year of high school when the family moved to San Antonio. After working at Kelly Air Force Base for a number of years, she moved to Dallas where she met and married Dan Middleton Chrisman in 1956. They moved around the state, but settled in Farmers Branch in 1965 to raise a family. Lynn was very active in various Carrollton-Farmers Branch PTAs and the Farmers Branch Woman's Club, serving as President for both groups. Her other volunteer works included Den Mother for Cub Scouts, Homeroom Mom for many years, and baseball team mother. She was also a long-time administrative assistant for Diebold Inc. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Dan, and her son, Robert A. Forres. She is survived by her brother, Lewin Gilliam and his wife Judi of Escondido, CA; three children: Larry Chrisman and his wife, Sharon, of Richardson, TX, and their children, James, Kayla, Jared, and Karyn; Randall Chrisman and his wife, Ginny, of Carrollton, TX, and their children, Ben, Katie, and Julie; Lori Ruff and her husband, Eric, of Longview, TX, and their children, Cami, Juliana and Caroline; grandson Tony Toman and his wife Tracie, of Wellsville, KS, and their children, Tyler, Jared and Josh.Services will be held at the North Dallas Funeral Home in Farmers Branch on Sunday, October 13 at 1:30 pm. She will be interred at the DFW National Cemetery with her husband, Dan, a decorated 42-year veteran of the United States Navy.Please send family condolences and sign the guestbook on this website.
