After a life well lived, Virginia Ginger Moore Cockerham passed peacefully on October 8, 2017 in Dallas, Texas, at the age of 75. She was an extraordinary lady who lived an extraordinary life. She was born on November 21, 1941 in Harrison, Arkansas to Clay and Lurie Moore. She grew up with the love and adoration of her parents and brother. After two years at the University of Arkansas, she left to become a farmers wife and incredible mother. She later returned to school to get her degree and after teaching several years, she became a successful business woman.Although life was not always easy, Ginger was unfailingly positive in spirit, and optimistic by nature. Her guiding Bible verse was: For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11. She not only saw hope for herself, but she saw it in others, even when they couldnt. She helped so many others to find their plans and see their hope.Ginger always made the world around her a better place. She lit up every room she entered and every face she met. Few ever forgot Ginger Cockerham after meeting her even once.She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a fantastic grandmother (Gram), a loyal sister, and a friend and mentor to many. How she loved her family and friends and showered them with that love. Ginger transitioned gracefully throughout all phases of her life. She was a precocious child, an excellent student, a loving mother at twenty, a devoted grandmother at forty, an inspiring teacher and then a successful business woman and author. She brought boundless joy and energy to all of these phases of her life.She excelled as a well-known Business Coach, inspiring her many clients to achieve their goals. She was designated a Master Coach, on the Board of the International Coaching Federation, profiled in the London Times, where she authored a weekly column, and the author of two coaching books.She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband of 54 years, Steve Cockerham. She is survived by her four children and their families: Stephen Cockerham, his wife Kristi and three daughters Kate, Maggie, and Emma; Courtney Rader, her husband John and three children Chris, and his wife Katherine, Caroline, and her husband Nicholas, and William; Casey Cockerham and his wife Alicia Zatcoff; and Ginny Cohen, her husband Josh and four sons Jacob, Austin, Ethan and Luke. She was the great grandmother of Chris two sons, Garrison and Caeden. She is also survived by her brother Clay Moore and twelve nieces and nephews and their children and grandchildren.Ginger will be sorely missed among the living, but welcomed gloriously in heaven.Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.
