Obituary

Randall Dee Crabtree, gentle in spirit and with strength of will to follow his own path in life, passed away at 57 years old on Wednesday,April 20, 2016.Randy is survived by three brothers; Mike Crabtree and his wife Donna of Coppell, TX; Terry Crabtree and his wife Mimi of Orlando, FL and Chicago, IL; Tim Crabtree and his wife Shelly of Howe, TX; as well as eleven nieces and nephews, Kristi Brotherton, Chis Crabtree, Ronald Crabtree, Heather Kelly, Andrew Crabtree, Charlie Hantla, Katy Crabtree, Drake Hantla, Matt Crabtree, Margaret Crabtree and Ben Crabtree.Randy was born in Marshalltown, IA moving to Farmers Branch, TX at age 4 with his family. Other than Texas, Randy lived for short periods in Florida, Missouri and New York. He attended RL Turner High School in Carrollton, TX and graduated from the University of North Texas. As a marketing and market research executive, Randy worked at Hallmark, Sprint, A C Nielson and Meeting Planners International.Randy was full of energy with a commitment to family and friends, always available to help when needed. He possessed a wide range of interests including theater, politics, social justice, business, travel and more. Randy was passionate about his family, friends, career and causes.Randy was preceded in death by mother Lucy, father Ed and older brother Ron.Celebration of LifeService will be on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at 3:00 pm in the Brooks Family Chapel of the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.Graveside service will be on Monday, May 2, 2016 at 10:00 am at Hilltop Memorial Park, 1810 Perry Road, Carrollton, Texas 75006.In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in his honor to one of the following.
