Obituary

Arthur " Tim" McBlair Crowley, a retired early-childhood educator, prolific author and dedicated mischief-maker passed away suddenly September 26, 2011. Tim will be remembered by those that knew & loved him as a man with a hearty, if not quirky, sense of humor and a brilliant mind. He spent his childhood exploring White Rock Lake, graduated from Greenhill School of Dallas; received his B.A. in English & American History at the University of Texas Austin and M.A. in Education at the University of Missouri. His myriad accomplishments include membership Kappa Sigma fraternity; regular contributor, university newspapers; Managing Editor, K.R.O.W. radio station; published author, 4 children's books & Inspector Baseheart series. An educator for 30 years, Tim shared his passion about early-childhood development and literacy. His life and memory will be cherished by his many friends & family. Tim is survived by his wife of 28 years, Sharon; daughter Amanda; step-daughter Sarah Cavazos & husband Rick, their children Gabriel & Isabella; and niece and nephew, Colleen & Patrick Boehme. Rosary service will be held Friday at 1:00 pm at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Church,1404 Old Gate Lane. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Friends of the Dallas Public Library, www.fodpl.org.
