Jared Browning Dahlander,our sweet angel Jared died painlessly on Saturday, August 30. Although he never said a word, Jared brought tremendous joy to his family. He was a gift from God who taught all who knew him about faith, grace and unconditional love. Jared was born September 8, 2000 with a genetic syndrome that eluded diagnosis. He endured 20 surgeries and many hospital stays, yet always maintained his gentle spirit.Jareds parents thank his home health nurses from Encompass, teachers and staff from Casa View, Gooch and Preston Hollow Elementary Schools and Walker Middle School, the staff in the PICU at Medical City Childrens, his team of doctors, nurses and therapists, the staff at Scottish Rite, volunteers from Night Owls at Highland Park UMC and Rays of Light at Lovers Lane UMC. Special thanks to Jareds church family at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd who continually lifted him in prayer.Jared is survived by his parents, Jon and Heidi, sisters Ava Faith and Chloe Grace, grandparents Charles and Magda Browning in Gainesville, FL and Ward and Dianne Dahlander in Dallas and many aunts, uncles and cousins.Funeral Sserviceswill be held Saturday, September 6 at 1 p.m. at The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 11122 Midway Road, Dallas, Texas.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Jareds name to either Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children or H.E.R.O.E.S., an organization that helps individuals with special needs.H.E.R.O.E.S.101 S.
