Pauline Brand David, beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and friend, passed away April 25. Born 1922 to Winnie and Morris Brand, Pauline spent her childhood in Houston. She attended the University of Texas at Austin, where she met Stanley David, president of his fraternity and Editor of the Texas Law Review. Pauline and Stanley were married for 32 years, until his death in 1974. Stanley and his family owned the famed Simon David Grocery store until it was sold in 1961. Pauline was a lover of life and of people. She was a devoted Mother and Grandmother and was always available to listen and to help others with their problems. She knitted amazing afghans that she graciously gave to people she cared about.
