With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of David Grant Potter, who left us on April 4, 2025, at the age of 60.

Born in Syracuse, New York, David was a man who embraced life with passion and kindness. He loved the outdoors, fishing, and traveling, and cherished moments spent sharing laughter and good food with loved ones. He was an avid sports enthusiast, with a particular passion for the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers. He was known for his generous spirit, mechanical skill, and willingness to help anyone. He had a rare gift for making others feel seen, heard, and valued, so no one remained a stranger for long.

He is survived by his sons, David Potter Jr. and Joshua Potter, siblings, Peggy Raymond, Debra Georges, Michele Robertson, Mark Potter, and Scott Potter; and former spouses, Carol Potter and Martha Myers Potter.

David was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Wayne Potter; his mother, Grace Margaret "Peggy" Potter; his brother, Kenneth Wayne Potter Jr.; and Jantzen Burrow.
