Melanie Green Davidoff, was born in Dallas on July 11, 1940, and died in Dallas on March 23, 2009. Melanie was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was an avid reader, enjoyed the daily crossword puzzles, and loved spending time with her husband, family and friends. Melanie was an active life member of Hadassah, National Council of Jewish Women, and Temple Emanu-El. Melanie was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Eleanor Green, step-father, Joe Grossfeld, and daughter, Phyllis Unell. She is survived and will be missed dearly by her husband of 48 years, Charles Davidoff, son and daughter in law, Bill and Shirley Davidoff, son in law, John Unell, and grandchildren, Eric and Jeremy Davidoff, and Grace Unell. Melanie is also survived by her brother and sister in law, Hal and Rita Green, mother in law, Sadie Davidoff, and brothers and sisters in law, Jack and Barbara Wilpon, Ronnie and Anne Davidoff, Mark and Tina Davidoff, and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held on March 25, 2009 at 11:00am, at the Temple Emanu-El Cemetery located at 3430 Howell St., Dallas Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Temple Emanu-El, St. Judes Children's Hospital, or a charity of your choice.
