Robert Douglas De Dreu Sr. of Fort Worth, Texas, died Monday, September 2, 2013 in Dallas, Texas. He was 67 years old. Robert "Bob" De Dreu, Sr., was born on July 8, 1946 in Newark, N.J. He was preceded in death by his parents Adrian and Doris De Dreu and brother John De Dreu. He proudly served his country for 9 1/2 years with the Military Police as a Staff Sergeant (E6) in the U.S. Army, 3 of those years he served in Vietnam. In 1975, he started his career as a salesman and remained so for 28 years. In this time he sold everything from vacuum cleaners to insurance to cars. Bob, his wife and two children moved to the DFW area in 1985.He is survived by his Loving wife of 40 yrs, Donna De Dreu of Fort Worth. His daughter, Nykol De Dreu and son in law, Michael Sherwin of Chicago, IL. His son, Robert D. De Dreu, Jr. of Fort Worth. His granddaughter, Madyson Grace De Dreu. His brother, James De Dreu and wife, Roberta of Atlanta, GA. His sister, Michelle Loiacono and husband Frank of Clifton, N.J. His mother in law, Anna Ottinger of Euless. His sister in law, Ann Macintosh and husband Scott of Mt. Holly, N.J. His sister in law, Emily Ottinger of Fort Worth. His brother in law, Al Ottinger of Fort Worth and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 11:00 am in the Brooks Family Chapel of the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234Please send family condolences and sign the guestbook on this website.
