Luis Miguel Del Valle, age 76, passed away unexpectedly in Farmers Branch, Texas on Wednesday, February 8th. He was born March 7, 1940 in Santa Clara, Cuba and lived there until the age of 22 when he fled Cuba with his wife and son to start a new life in Dallas, Texas.In 1973, Luis, wife, Carmen and their 3 children moved to the Carrollton-Farmers Branch area, where he worked for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company for 30 years, then Kauffman Tire for 7 years as Director of Logistics before retiring in June 2012. During his retirement years, Luis cherished time with his wife, family and friends traveling to Branson, MO; on cruises; and watching his grandsons play football for Bishop Lynch High School.Luis was a 44-year member of Mary Immaculate Church and a 3-year member of Friends of the Branch.Luis is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Carmen Del Valle; children and spouses, Mike & Debbie Del Valle, Rick & Pennie Del Valle and Mary & Danny Fregia; five grandchildren, Heather Hayes, Will Fregia, Thomas Del Valle, Wes Fregia and Warren Fregia; and 2 great-grandchildren, Isabella Rivera and Derek Hayes all of Farmers Branch.Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 24th at 3:00 pm with a Rosary at 2:00 pm at Mary Immaculate Church, 2800 Valwood Parkway, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.
