Raymond Coronado DeLeon, from Farmers Branch, Texas was born on December 11th, 1960, and passed away peacefully in his sleep after suffering from a long term illness on April 14, 2017at the age of 56.Raymond was also known to many people as The Great One and as Pappy to his granddaughters. He was born in Dallas, Texas to his parents - Raymond Anguiano DeLeon and Simona Coronado DeLeon, along with 3 siblings. He is survived by his wife, Carol DeLeon; his three daughters, Amanda Lyn DeLeon, Natalie Simona DeLeon Ayala and her husband, Hector Ayala, Caitlin Rae DeLeon; and his two beautiful granddaughters, Irelyn Elise DeLeon and Novalie Raye DeLeon Ayala.Raymond grew up in Farmers Branch, Texas with his parents and he had three siblings; two brothers and one sister. He graduated from R.L. Turner High School in 1979 and eventually pursued a career in the glass business, and retired from Southwest Glass in 2013, after 28 years. He lived the majority of his life in Farmers Branch where he raised his own family, and began getting involved with the Farmers Branch Little League. Baseball was his life, among other sports. He was a golfer, and loved to fly fish. He loved nothing more than spending the day outside, when it was hot, taking it easy. He was never rushed and always had a laid-back sense of humor about him. He could and would have a conversation with anyone. He never met a stranger. After so many years of dedication to the Farmers Branch Baseball Association, he was honored with having a new field dedicated in his name. His sweet face will be deeply missed throughout this community.Visitation and viewing will be onTuesday, April 18, 2017from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, service will begin at 6:00 pm (the casket will be closed) and go until 7:30 pm.
