He passed peacefully, surrounded by his beloved wife of 71 years and their two sons. Don was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and cherished friend.
Don was born in Amarillo, Texas, and raised in Carlton, Texas. He met the love of his life in high school, and they were married in 1955. Professionally, Don spent his entire career in the insurance industry, starting At Shelton and Bowles, to Barnett Insurance, Sleeper Sewell, Alliance Insurance to now, what is known as Boyd, Shackelford, Barnett, and Dixon where he retired.
Don found great joy in boating, water sports, and traveling, but above all, he treasured time spent with his family and friends.
