Celebrating the Life of Diann Clayton

Diann was born in Los Angeles, California, and lived a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to her family. She shared 57 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Cecil Charles Clayton. Together, they built a beautiful life and a family that grew to include five children, nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

A loving and supportive Air Force wife, Diann was a devoted mother and a caring sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She had a sweet and caring nature, a wonderful sense of humor, and a special way of making the people around her feel loved.

Diann found joy in crafting, reading, square dancing, singing, and especially cooking for her family. She was a math wizard who enjoyed puzzles and never turned down the challenge of a good word game. She loved caring for her grandchildren and treasured the time she spent watching her family grow.

More than anything, Diann loved simply being with the people she loved. Family was at the center of her life and her greatest source of happiness.

Diann was preceded in death by her parents, Doris and Richard Randel; her brother, Richard; her brothers-in-law, Preston Bennett and Dan Wilkinson; and her beloved husband, Cecil Charles Clayton.

She is survived by her siblings, Cheryl Gerber and husband Charles; William and Kathy Wild; Odette Randel; Karla and Roland Mar; Mark and Linda Randel; Sheila Randel; David Randel and Eve Hoare; and Lori Randel.

She is also survived by her five children and their spouses: Curtis and Kim Clayton, Cindy and Chris Edwards, Corey and Shannon Clayton, Cherie and Ralph Alvarez, and Craig and Katie Clayton.

Her legacy continues through her nine grandchildren: Courtney Clayton, Cyler Clayton, Keegan Clayton, Cooper Clayton, Amber Alvarez, Collin Clayton, Coleman Clayton, Carson Edwards, and Camden Edwards; and her three great-grandchildren: Charlotte Hargrove, Cayden Hargrove, and Kashen Clayton.

Diann's greatest joy was her family, and the love she gave so freely will be her lasting legacy. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of those who were blessed to know and love her.
