William Bernard Dougherty, III, 62, a resident of Rowlett, TX, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Lakepointe Medical Center.Born February 6, 1951, Bill lived in Texas his entire life.He graduated from Sunset High School in 1969, and sang for four years with the Westminster Youth Choir of the Oak Cliff Presbyterian Church.Bill was a life-long student, always eager to learn something new and whatever he tackled, he became accomplished at.He studied music at North Texas State University. He was a self-taught photographer, then learned networking and building computer systems, eventually starting and operating two businesses: Custom Web Solutions and Config Dot Systems.He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Theresa, daughters Eva and husband Chris Basquez, Devin and fianc David McElroy, Christy Dougherty, and grandchildren Chloe, Keegan, Kaleb, Joshua and Alex.His siblings include sister Susan and husband James Etheridge, Pam Dougherty, brother Robert Dougherty and wife Sharon, and Tim Dougherty and wife Roxane, along with numerous nieces and nephews.Services will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Laurel Land Cemetery, 6000 S. R.L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, Tx 75232.
