Obituary

Ronald Leroy Dupler, 62, of Little Elm, TX, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2013.Ron was born to Carl and the late Hazle Goldston Dupler, October 18, 1950, in Morton, TX. Ron graduated from Whiteface High School in 1969. That same weekend, he married his high school sweetheart, Diana Lee Self Dupler, and then left for Army boot camp, to which he had been drafted. He served as a 1st SG in Germany on stand by to be sent to Vietnam, but thankfully was never sent on. After the Army, he lived in several places across TX, OK and CO.In his life, Ron worked in a variety of trades including farmer, carpenter, homebuilder, retail management, gunsmith, and dispatcher/manager for Pro-Tow Wrecker Service from which he recently retired. Ron fell in 1986 and broke his back, spending his remaining days in a wheelchair as a paraplegic. Through the many procedures, recoveries and struggles he endured afterward, Ron fought through the many battles time and again for his family.Ron is survived by his wife, Diana; their three children, Cheri and husband Pete Richardson of Piedmont, OK, Jenny Gates of Lakewood Village, TX and Barett and wife Lacy Dupler of Aubrey, TX; along with five grandchildren, Trista, Cameron, Ciera, Gavin and Kirstyn; his father, Carl; three brothers; and one sister. A memorial servoce will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at the home of his daughter, Jenny.Please send family condolences and sign the guestbook on this website.
