Robert Clair Dye Jr., of Dallas, TX, affectionately known as Bob, age 63, passed away on April 27, 2015.He was born on March 3, 1952 in Rochester, PA, a son of Robert Clair Dye and the late Grace Cox Dye. Bob attended Hopewell High School in Hopewell, PA and then matriculated to Southern Methodist University where he received both his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Business Administration degrees. His work ethic, intelligence, wit, honesty, integrity and kindness were admired by his family and friends. He was a devout member of Lovers Lane United Methodist Church in Dallas. Bob was also an avid supporter of his alumni where hed often be spotted cheering on Mustang football and basketball.Bob is survived by son, Robert Clair Dye III, and daughter, Lauren Nicole Dye; his dad; his brother and brothers wife, Ronald and Nancy Dye, of Taneytown, MD; his nephew, Jason Dye (Ashlee and Riley) of Taneytown, MD; his niece, Heather Dye, of Taneytown, MD; and his partner, Margie Shor, all of whom he loved tremendously.A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 1, 2015 in Shipp Chapel of Lovers Lane United Methodist Church at 10:00 a.m. CDT.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lovers Lane United Methodist Church Foundation at 9200 Inwood Road, Dallas, TX 75220.Please send the family condolences and/or share memories on this website.
