Elizabeth Ann Lawler was born September 28, 1939 in Gunter, Texas to her wonderful parents Ruth Aline Patterson and Clyde Sam Hasley. She was called to heaven on February 7, 2025. She grew up in Gunter with many special friends and a big, loving family. She was a majorette for Gunter High School.

She married James Leon Umphress in 1957 and had two sons James Michael and Byron Keith. She also was second mom to Rhonda Lynn, after her mom and Elizabeth's youngest sister, passed away. Elizabeth owned her own Typesetting business, Vivid Image, for 30+ years in Dallas. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing cards with a great group of ladies.

She will be deeply missed by her loving family, her devoted friends and all those that knew and loved her. She is survived by her sons Mike Umphress, Daughter in Law Kara and Byron Umphress, grandsons Blake Umphress and Byron Umphress Jr as well as many special nieces and nephews.
