Elsie Paolilli was born to Philip and Mary Paolilli in 1927 and went to be with Our Lord on May 1, 2024. She was one of twelve children, who are now all deceased. She married US Navy pilot, John Knight from Electra, Texas. When John left the Navy, he received his Masters' Degree in Accounting from Rice University and then settled in Dallas, Texas. Elsie worked at the LTV Executive Offices.

They have two children, Lisa Knight and Greg Knight, five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. They enjoyed taking their children and grandchildren to South Padre Island beaches and to Pensacola, South Carolina, and on a house boat at Lake Zales in Alabama.

John and Elsie were faithful members of the St. Rita Catholic Community in Dallas for fifty-two years. Elsie participated in many activities there including the annual garage sale and the Holy Spirit Circle, where she has so many lifelong friends. Elsie was greatly loved by many and will always be remembered. The funeral mass will be held at St. Rita Catholic Church, 12521 Inwood Road in Dallas on Friday, June 28, 2024 at 11am. Reception immediately following at St. Rita then interment will be at the DFW National Cemetery 2:45pm. Donations may be made to St. Rita Catholic Church for The Holy Spirit Circle.
