James Dallas English was born November 9, 1935, in Parker County, Texas. Deceased October 12, 2011, in Carrollton, Texas. Known as James to close family and friends, he was later given the nickname, Jim. Following graduation from Midlothian High School in 1954, he began his working career at CBS affiliate KRLD-TV, Channel 4, as a maintenance engineer and cameraman working many live and remote broadcasts of news and sporting events televised both locally and nationally.
