(October 17, 1993 – March 22, 2026)

Eric Fernando Gutiérrez Molina, age 32, passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on March 22, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on October 17, 1993, in El Salvador, he lived there until 2015. From a very young age, he gave his life completely to Jesus and became a pillar of the Catholic community, especially with the Misioneros de Jesús. His faith was his greatest joy and driving force; there he found purpose, brotherhood, and a total commitment to serving God and others. He graduated from high school and later studied at the Culinary Academy in San Salvador, always with an open and willing heart.

In 2015, he emigrated to the United States to pursue the dream he had held since childhood: to become a Flight Attendant and travel the world, discovering its cultures, people, and wonders. With hard work, humility, and perseverance, he achieved his goal: he worked at Cinemark, American Eagle, and Envoy Air, until he reached American Airlines, where he finally flew and lived his passion to the fullest.

Fernando was a joyful, friendly, charitable, kind, fair, and deeply positive person. He loved God above all else, loved the Virgin Mary with great devotion and was consecrated to her, loved his cats, and above all, loved his family with his entire being. He was passionate about traveling, attending concerts, and enthusiastically participating in church retreats, assemblies, and gatherings. His smile lit up every room, and his big heart touched everyone fortunate enough to know him.

He leaves behind in deep sorrow his beloved mother, María Julisa Molina Castillo, whom he cared for, spoiled, and loved with infinite devotion; his father Federico Gutiérrez, who always supported him and helped make his dreams come true; his brother Kelvin Sergio Gutiérrez Molina, whom he protected, advised, and wanted only the best for; his sisters Mayra and Verónica, who always stood by him unconditionally; his sister-in-law Beatriz Fernández, with whom he shared laughter, shopping trips, movies, and special moments; his great friend and soul brother Jorge Rivas, present in good times and bad; his dear lifelong friend Ivonne Áviles, companion since adolescence; and his faithful friend Ernesto Carranza, with whom he faced and overcame many circumstances together.

Fernando will always be remembered for that enormous heart he gave so generously to his family, his church brothers and sisters, and all his loved ones.

And now we feel sadness for your departure, dear Fernando, but we are filled with hope and trust in God, knowing that we will soon meet again in the arms of the Father, just as His Word promises:

"Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him."

— 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14

His smile, his unshakable faith, his kindness, and his passion for life leave us an eternal legacy of love, joy, and light that will remain forever in our hearts.
