Darlene Fava was born in Brooklyn, NY to parents Thomasina Randazzo and the late Joseph Randazzo on December 10, 1960. She passed into Gods hands on Thursday, July 31, 2014. Darlene was known to her family and friends as Doll.Darlene leaves behind her husband, Vincent Fava; two daughters, Melissa Garcia (husband Joseph) and Dana Fava (husband Charles Sands); two sisters DonnaMarie Gregory and Debra Randazzo and three grandchildren; Melita Garcia, Vincent Garcia and Charlotte Fava-Sands.Darlene grew up in New York City but also lived a rural life in the Pocono Mountains for 11 years. While there she enjoyed the forests, streams and wildlife of the area. Her personal project was beautifying the natural landscape by seeding the woods with wildflowers and enjoying the butterflies that followed. With a move to Texas in 2000 as her children entered high school, Darlene earned her second nickname of Mom to their many friends for her warm hospitality. Throughout the years, Darlenes interests included a love of cooking and of music. Her taste ranged from banana bread and Barbra Streisand to baked ziti and Pink Floyd (her favorite dish and band).Even though her life ended much too soon, she was fortunate enough to witness the marriage of both her children and to enjoy her precious grandchildren who she often said were her angels on Earth. It is comforting to know they now have a special angel in Heaven looking down upon them.Doll will be missed and remembered by family and friends for her unique sense of humor, but most especially for her kind heart and generosity.Knowing Darlenes love of animals, especially the many pets that she loved and cared for, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Operation Kindness in Carrollton, TX or to any no kill animal shelter. Please send family condolences and sign the guestbook on this website.
