Dimas Reyes Figueroa (D.R.) (Popo) of The Colony, Texas passed away peacefully at his home, after a battle with cancer, on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at the age of 80. He was born on March 26, 1936 in Pleasanton, Texas to his parents, Manuel and Elvira Figueroa.Dimas retired as a brick mason superintendent. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, garage sales, and was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved spending time with his family. Dimas was a assistant in Spanish Ministry and was the legacy of his family.He is survived by his spouse, Rosalia Figueroa; children, Sandra, Lisa, Ramon, Katrina, Melissa, Pricilla; 13 grand children; 14 great-grand-children; and 3 great-great-grand children. He is also survived by his siblings; Oralia, Ida, Tina, Carmen, Manuel, Juan, Joe.There are three words that can sum up Dimas life, Compassionate, Humble and Righteous. He will be greatly missed by us all!Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm in the Brooks Family Chapel of the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.Funeral Mass will be Thursday, August 18, 2016 at 10:00 am at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, 2800 Valwood Parkway at Dennis Road, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.Interment to follow at Calvery Hill Memorial Park, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas 75220.Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.
