Hewas a wonderful parent and devotedhusband to his wife, Helena, whopreceded him in death after 65 yearsof marriage. Family was everythingto him.Paul graduated from Forest AvenueHigh School and the University ofTexas, where he was a member ofPhi Sigma Delta fraternity. Heserved in World War II in China-Burma-India. Upon returning in1945, he worked at our family busi-ness, National Shoes, until its clos-ing in 2002, when he was in hiseighties. He sold shoes to severalgenerations of Dallasites, and heknew all his customers
