Obituary of Forrest Benjamin Saddler Jr. Forrest Benjamin Saddler Jr., passed away on 12/28/2022 at the age of 70 in his long-time residence in Farmers Branch, Tx. Known to most as Ben, Pepaw or Pappers by his Daughters, Jr. by his family members or Forrest in the workplace.
Born 6/27/52 in Dallas, Tx to Thelma and Forrest Benjamin Saddler Sr. Brother to Brenda, Charles, Kathy and Tammy.
Ben was a 1970 graduate of Justin F Kimball High School and was an active member in ROTC. Served in the USMC 1970-1976 and was stationed in Iwakuni, Japan. Left the service at the rank of Corporal.
Married 2/2/1979 to Deborah Lucille Hartness. Married for 43 years. Worked at Southwest Tablet Manufacturing, Hertlitz, and Executive Instruments for a total of 28 years in the Paper Industry. Prior to retirement worked for Dekra, Inspections Only as an Inspection Technician for Vehicle Inspections.
He enjoyed gardening, reading, listening to music, and watching You Tube. Was recently self-teaching himself Hebrew, to read and speak.
Survived by Spouse, Deborah L. Saddler, Farmers Branch and two Daughters, Carolyn Lee Saddler of Dallas, and Joanna Grace Saddler of Irving. Survived by Sister Brenda Parker of DeSoto. He and Deborah had 1 cat named Luna.
Predeceased by Brother, Charles Vincent Saddler, and Sister, Kathy Saddler Wells and both parents Forrest B. Saddler Jr and Thelma Saddler.
Service to be held at the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, TX at Noon (12:00 PM) on January 10, 2023 with interment at the DFW National Cemetery at 2:15 PM.
