James Dudley Gale, Jr. (Jimmy) went to be with the passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2016. Jimmy was born September 12, 1935, in Clovis, New Mexico to James Dudley Gale and Maggie Louise Hopper Gale. He graduated from Clovis High School in 1953. He continued his education at Abilene Christian College obtaining his Bachelor of Arts Bible and Biblical Languages degree in May 1959 then a Master of Arts Biblical Languages and NT Literature degree in May 1961. Jimmys education didnt end there. After obtaining his Master of Arts degree, he completed extensive post graduate studies on classical languages and literature at the University of Texas at Austin from 1961-1965. He then began his preaching ministries which encompassed 1962-1976. Jimmy entered the corporate world in 1976 when he joined Exxon Mobil, which he eventually retired from.Jimmy married Patsy Ann Williams on September 13, 1987. The happy couple resided in Carrollton, Texas where they were longtime members of Riverside Church of Christ in Coppell. Jimmy loved Jesus and was a dedicated Christian. He was also a loving Papaw to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He touched countless lives throughout his lifetime. His happy personality, love of life, and love of people will be missed by all who knew him.Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings. Survivors: Wife, Patsy; Children, Anne and husband Scott, Scott Gale, Laura and husband Pedro, Tammy and husband Mike, Judy Christman, and James and wife Dora; Grandchildren, Misty, Lukas, Alyssa, Jana, Christopher, Ashley, Jeremy, Allison, Amanda, Brandon, Samantha, Parker, Derick, Lucas and 15 Great Grandchildren.Visitation will befrom6:00 - 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 in the Brooks Family Chapel of the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Riverside Church of Christ, 150 East Beltline Road, Coppell, Texas 75019.
