Mary LaVerne Gebron is at peace with her Lord. She was born in Dallas, Texas on December 15, 1928 and left this earth on June 16, 2015. She was preceded in death by her father Richard Brown, mother Ola Mae Brown, brothers Robert & Ed Brown. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Joe Gebron, daughters Suzanne Morgan Miles & husband Bill, Lisa Bufkin and husband Ron, Annette Webster and husband Pat, sons Joe (Joey) Gebron, who preceded her in death, Robert Gebron and wife Devin, John Gebron & Tom Gebron, and sister Annette Laswell. She leaves behind grandchildren Brandon Morgan, Louisa Hoefer Morgan, Amber Bufkin, Emily & Catherine Gebron, Jordan & Joseph Webster, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews & cousins.LaVerne attended Forester High School in Dallas, Texas where she was captain of the volley ball team. Her favorite hobby was roller skating where she met and fell in love with her husband.LaVerne lived a very full life consisting of voluntary work with several charities including the American Cancer Society, Parish Churches, Holy Trinity Missions. As a devout Catholic she worshiped at St. Monicas Church in Dallas, Texas, St. Annes Church in Coppell, Texas and Mary Immaculate Church in Farmers Branch, TexasShe and her husband Joe cherished their years of playing golf. LaVerne once held the office of President of the Ladies Golf Association at Great Southwest Golf Club. She was invited to volunteer at the first ever LPGA Skins Game played at Stonebriar Country Club in 1990. She and her husband had the privilege of attending the 50th U.S. Womens Open in 1995 at The Broadmoor Golf Club in Colorado Springs, CO. as well as traveling to many other well known golf destinations. She was a member of Brookhaven Country Club, Great Southwest, Lost Creek, Pecan Plantation and Las Colinas Country Club. She enjoyed playing bridge with several ladies bridge clubs throughout the city. LaVerne & Joe played bridge often with close friends.As a marketing professional LaVerne was a top sales performer for Henry S. Miller for many years earning several real estate sales awards.She loved day visits to her roots in East Texas & Waxahachie. She enjoyed long walks and sewing which was her passion! She was an incredible seamstress!Family was always extremely important to LaVerne, lending spiritual & emotional support consistently. She gave relentlessly of her time to everyone. She was a very giving wife & Mother, loving unconditionally! Her delicate presence will greatly be missed. She was truly a blessing to the lives she touched.A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mary LaVerne Gebron will be held at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Farmers Branch at 2:00 p.m. on Friday June 26, 2015Please send the family condolences and share memories on this website.
