Grant Herbert Jack, 69, of Rowlett, passed away on June 4th.Memorial services will be held at 1st Methodist Church of Rowlett, 4405 Main St. Rowlett, TX on Saturday June 25th at 11am with Rev. Ann Dodson officiating. Grant was born in Dallas to Jan and Herbert on June 19th, 1952. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Dallas, Class of 1970. He worked as a Law Enforcement Officer for the Dallas County Sheriffs Office, Addison Police department, and Rowlett Police Department for a combined 26 years. Additionally, he worked for The Dallas District Attorneys Office for 12 years and multiple Federal agencies, including the Secret Service and the Department of Homeland Security, for 5 years. He spent the remainder of his life working at Pilot Catastrophe helping those affected by major storms across the country. He was a veteran of The Vietnam War serving in the Marines and was awarded a Purple Heart for his service. He was actively involved in the community and membership of First Christian Church of Rowlett. He was the recipient of many commendations throughout his life across his varied and distinguished career.Grant is preceded in death by his father, Herbert Jack and his mother, Jan Jack.Grant is survived by his son, Christopher Jack; his sister Kathy Jack and her wife Susie; his fianc, Debbie Leopard; and his cousins Karen Anderson and Cheri Allen.
