Lillie Emily Elvina Fraedrich Spiegel Hagstrand, age 100, is celebrating the beginning of her eternal life in heaven with Jesus her Savior, who welcomed her home on March 17, 2014. She was born on a farm in Marion, Wisconsin to Carl William Fraedrich and Gustine Bessler Fraedrich on October 4, 1913. At age 19 she married Martin Spiegel and had a son, Laverne, and daughter, Dolores. They moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin and endured both the depression era and World War II. In 1954, Laverne Spiegel drowned at a local lake. On Lillie and Martins 26th wedding anniversary they celebrated the birth of daughter Ruth. Lillie suffered the death of her husband, Martin, in January 1960 when he died of complications of surgery. In February 1962, she married Earling Hagstrand, a widower who had two daughters, Karen and Kris. Lillie and Earling lived in New Berlin, Wisconsin until 1986 when they moved to Roselle, Illinois. They moved to Texas in 2004. Earling passed into eternity in June 2010 at age 90.Lillie is survived by daughters Dolores Brei (Don), Ruth Davis (Roger), Karen Wenzel (Eugene), and Kris Carlson, grandchildren Donna Bong (Jeff), Daniel Brei (JoLayne), Keller, Shannon and Barton Davis, Logan Carlson, Stephanie Carlson Robinson (Ty), Leslie Carlson, great-grandchildren Anthony, Christopher and Emily Bong, Krystal and Andrew Brei, Olivia Lopez and Maree Robinson, and sister, Fern Vaughn, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by her son, Laverne, husbands, Martin and Earling, sisters, Ida, Minnie, Emma, Evangeline, Alice, Alma, and brother Bill, as well as other half and step brothers/sisters, nieces and nephews. She is also preceded in death by granddaughter, Lindsay Wenzel.The memorial service will be held on Friday, March 21st at the North Dallas Funeral Home at 2710 Valley View Lane, Dallas, TX 75234 and a second short service will be held on Tuesday March 25 at 1pm at the Graceland Cemetery Chapel at 6401 N. 43rd Street in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
