Obituary

Haralson, Elmer Harry, "Bud"A resident of Farmers Branch for almost60 years, died peacefully onJuly 19, 2010. Bud was born onNovember 20, 1922 in Black RiverFalls, Wisconsin. He joined the ArmyAir Corps and served in Indiaduring WWII. After the war, Budsettled in Chicago, where he began a37 year career with NCR, marriedAva Lou James of Wichita Falls, andmoved to Texas. He was a talentedmechanic, a superb manager, and anhonorable man. He was devoted tohis family, and loved sports, history,poetry, and music. Bud is survivedby his wife, Ava Lou, two daughtersLeslie Haralson (Arthur) Plumb andLinda Haralson (Derek)Wendelken, two grandchildrenTravis Scott Plumb and MelodyAnn Plumb, one brother, three sisters,and many nieces and nephews.Services will be held at the Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery. Inlieu of flowers, the family suggestsdonations be made to the MasonicLodge of Farmers Branch.
