THE LIFE AND LEGACY OF HARLAND EUGENE "BO" CELESTINE
Harland Eugene "BO" Celestine passed away 01 January 2025 was the oldest of four children, born in Luther, OK to Lewis and Hazel Celestine. Harland took his role as big brother seriously, and that protective instinct carried him through the rest of his life.
Harland was a truly and remarkable individual whose presence has left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. It is with heavy hearts and deep gratitude that we reflect on his journey, his character, and the many ways he touched our lives.
Harland was a person of great warmth, kindness, and integrity. He had the rare ability to make those around him feel valued, heard, and understood. Whether you were a lifelong friend or someone he met just once. Harland had a way of making you feel mattered. His empathy knew no bounds, and his genuine care for others was evident in every interaction.
Harland was a man of passion, dedication and purpose. He poured himself into everything he did, if it was his work, hobbies, or relationships he cultivated. His commitment to excellence was matched was only by his humility. He never sought recognition for his achievements, but instead, quietly went about his way, knowing that the real rewards came from the joy of helping others and making a difference.
Harland was also a man of great humor and joy. His laughter was infectious and his ability to find light in even the darkest moments was a gift we all cherished. Through his witty remarks or his thoughtful gestures, he had a way of brightening any room he entered. Beyond many qualities what stood out most about Harland is the love he shared with those closest to him. To his Entire Family, he was a Pillar of Support, and a source of Unwavering Strength.
After joining the United States Air Force and serving six years, Harland ended his journey as Staff Sargent. He then continued his education and received an Associate Degree from Los Angeles City College. After fourteen months Harland received a Bachelor's Degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. With his strong determination, and within ten months, Harland received a Master's Degree in Business Law from Loyola Marymount University, in Los Angeles, California. Harland retired after twenty years of employment at Hughes Aircraft Cooperation, in El Segundo, California.
Harland is survived by his Devoted Wife Barbara for more than 55 years, three Children, Constance, Tony and Mario, one Grand daughter, Alexis, one Devoted Sister Bobbie Jean Rollins, Devoted Nephews, Nieces, Family Members and Many Friends.
