Schlueter
February 12, 1928 – November 3, 2025
Helen Wirth Schlueter was born and raised in Highland, Indiana which, at the time, was a small town of about 3,000 people. It was located about 35 miles from Chicago. Her first two years of college were at DePaul University in Chicago. After her marriage to William Schlueter and the birth of their son, the family moved to Denton, Texas where Helen received a Bachelor's Degree. The family then moved to Dallas where two more children were born. After teaching for a few years, Helen traveled to Denton two days a week until she received an MA in English. She taught school for twenty years. After retirement Helen was employed by the Dallas Market Center on a three day a week schedule. She loved the job and the people she worked with. She spent fifteen happy years there.
Helen Wirth Schlueter is a member of the James Billingsley Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Thomas Poe Chapter of the Daughters of American Colonist. She is also a member of the Richardson Woman's Club.
Her family includes James Schlueter of Dallas, TX, Karen Schlueter Mann of Dallas, TX, and Eric and Sandra Schlueter of Virginia. Granddaughters are Janae Schlueter Rogers and Kyra Schlueter, also from Virginia.
