Rene Ruiz Hernandez of Dallas, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at the age of 51 years old.Rene was born in Hondo, Texas on February 7, 1962 to his parents, Vicente and Juanita Ruiz Hernandez.Rene loved to bake, enjoyed growing herbs, and loved music. He loved his nieces and nephews and loved his mother taking care of her for a year and a half before her death. He was a gentle soul and gave good guidance and was always there for his family.He is preceded in death by his life partner, Russ Brady in 1998; his mother, Juanita Ruiz Hernandez in 2010 and sister, Rebecca Hernandez in 2000. Survivors include his father, Vicente Hernandez of D'Hanis, Texas; brothers, Reg Hernandez of Conroe, Texas, Richard Hernandez of San Antonio, Texas and Rudy Hernandez also of San Antonio, Texas; sisters, Anne Chapa of Conroe, Texas and Dr. Cathy Hernandez of Dallas, Texas; a host of nieces and nephews and great nephews.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 10:00 am in the Brooks Family Chapel of the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.Please send the family condolences and sign the guestbook on this site.
