David Roscoe Herod of Arlington, Texas passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2015. He was born on March 4, 1947 in Kosciusko, Mississippi to Ernest and Mary (White) Herod.He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1965 to 1969, and in the United States Army from 1979 to 1983. For many years Davidserved veterans of North Texas working as a veteran coordinator at the Veterans Administration North Texas Health Care System in Dallas, Texas.He is survived by his daughter, Brooke Card and husband, Eddie of Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren, Addie Grace and Anna Claire; sisters, Susan Steed of Arlington, Texas, Stephanie Hankins of Vernon, Alabama, Dean Fenwick of Arlington, Texas; brother, Mike Herod of Swepsonville, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews,and a host of friends. David was preceded in death by two of his children,daughter, Courtney T Herod and son, Alexander Lee Herod.A Memorial Service in David's honor will be held on Monday, June 22, 2015 at 7:00 pm in the Brooks Family Chapel of the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.Interment with military honors will be on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at 2:00 pmat the D/FW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 7211, Lane A.Please send condolences and/or share your memories on this website.
