Marcella McCoy Hill the youngest daughter of one of Carrolltons oldest families returned to her beloved Thomas on November 30, 2020. In 1945, she was Drum Major for the Carrollton High School Marching Band. She married Thomas Hill of Farmers Branch, her high school sweetheart, in 1950 when he returned home from the US Navy. They lived for a time in San Francisco and New Jersey, returning to Farmers Branch in 1972. Marcella retired from IBM Corporation after 23 years, where she was affectionately known to countless IBMers as Mother.Proceeded in death by her parents Ted & Lucille McCoy; her beloved husband, Tom Hill; and sister, Tedalu McCoy Carver. She is survived by sons, Tom Hill, Jr. and Ted; daughter-in-law, Laura Hunter; grandchildren, Whitney Hill & fianc Alex Hunter, Tessa Hill, Jeremy Bryan, and Brandi Turnbow; niece, Carrie Jacobson; and nephew, Phillip Carver.In lieu of flowers, please support your local Dementia/Alzheimers outreach.Marcella will be laid to rest on Friday, December 4, 2020 at 10:00 am at Hilltop Memorial Cemetery, 1810 N.
