Homero
Lopez
March 30, 1957 – December 14, 2025
Homero Lopez was born in Brownsville, Texas, and on Sunday, December 14, 2025, he peacefully went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He is survived by his beloved wife of forty-seven years, Prudencia Lopez; his daughters, Dalila Lopez and Dina Rojas; his son, Dan Lopez; and three cherished grandchildren.
For twenty-seven years, Homero faithfully pastored the church he helped plant, Iglesia Centro Metropolitano Canaán. He also devoted himself to serving the local community and various ministries along the Texas–Mexico border, including work in Piedras Negras. His passion was to help all people in need.
Homero's deep and unwavering faith guided his life and ministry. He faithfully served others, lived out his trust in God, and shared the good news of the Gospel wherever he went. His favorite Scripture was John 1:14: "The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth."
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Homero's life on Thursday, December 18, at 7:00 p.m., and Friday, December 19, at 11:00 a.m., at Templo Cristo Rey, 2769 Valwood Parkway, Farmers Branch, TX 75234.
