Obituary

Steven Carroll Isam, 59, of Carrollton, Texas passed away Friday morning, July 8, 2016. Steve was born on May 3, 1957 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the youngest of 5 sons. He married Elizabeth Marie Posas on September 1, 1990 in Dallas, Texas. She survives him and lives in Carrollton, Texas. He is also survived by his son Joseph; daughter Stephanie Koch and her husband, Terry; brother, Ed Isam and wife, Donna; his three grandchildren, Ransom, Reagan and Mirabel Koch; mother and father-in-law, Sara M. and Jose M. Posas, and numerous nieces and nephews. Steve is preceded in death by his mother, Christelee Isam and father, Carroll Isam, as well as three brothers, Jaime Isam, Michael Isam, and Jerry Isam.Steve was a very loyal and dedicated man to God, family, and work. With his principles as an constant guide he was strong of spirit and mind, a man who would admit when he was wrong, help when he was needed, and love without end. He loved to grill and cook for his family, to tout their latest achievements, and teach his grandchildren the simple pleasures of life. He had a wonderful singing voice, enjoyed golfing, working in the yard, and was an eternal Rangers fan, he wouldn't miss a night out with his wife at the Ballpark or just watching the game on t.v. from his favorite chair in their backyard.Steve drew great joy from his children's and grandchildren's sports leagues, from coaching pony league baseball and watching his son play football and basketball to cheering on the sidelines for his daughter's volleyball, softball, and basketball games.Steve was a valued and respected leader in Grainger Industrial Supply through which he dedicated service and resources to the American Red Cross and Scottish Rite Hospital of Dallas when needed. He led teams in Grainger Integrated Supply, KeepStock, and most recently in the branch network. Steve worked tirelessly to serve customers and the team's he led. He earned national recognition for his performance as an Annual Achiever winner, as well as various other local recognition as a leader. Steve served for a quarter century positively impacting many lives every day.He will be missed deeply by all who knew him.Visitation will be held Thursday July 14, 2016 from 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 6:30p.m. in the Brooks Family Chapel at theNorth Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234Funeral Mass will be held Friday, July 15, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, 2800 Valwood Pkwy, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas or the American Heart Association.Please leave condolences and share memories on this website.
