Obituary

Herman David Dutch Jacquart, born on September 30, 1939, in Pittsburgh, PA, passed away on October 21, 2013. An exceptional athlete, Dutch became a coach and mentor to many young people throughout his life. He was a talented artist and craftsman who won several ribbons for his wood carvings at the Texas State Fair. For the past few years, he devoted most of his time to designing and constructing an eco-friendly house. Dutch was a proud American who served his country in the US Air Force in the early 60s. Preceded in death by his mother and father, Grace and Herman Jacquart. Survived by his children Kathy, Karen and David and their spouses Michael, David and Julie; brother Jeffrey and sister Denise and their spouses Charlotte and Peter; grandchildren Connor, Patrick, Maisy, Nick and Jordan; many nieces and nephews; and his dog and faithful companion Dillie. A funeral mass will be held on October 25, at 2pm at St. Monica Catholic Church in Dallas. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the SPCA of Texas (spca.org).
