Obituary of Jean "Gene" Laverne Bunting Jean "Gene" Laverne Bunting (nee Marks) passed away on June 4th, 2023 at the age of 78 in Plano, TX. She was born on January 7th, 1945 in Richmond, Virginia to Myrtle Culley (Marks) and Robert Culley Jr. Gene attended Highland Springs High School and went on to lead a life dedicated to her passions. She loved animals and spent much of her time pet-sitting and volunteering with animals. Her love for her grandchildren knew no bounds and they were the light of her life. Gene is survived by her husband of 58 years Richard, son Chris, daughter Nancy, daughter-in-law Andrea, son-in-law Todd, and grandchildren Anna, Mary, Ryanne, Morgan, and Nash. She was preceded in death by her parents, Myrtle Culley (Marks) and Robert Culley Jr. Gene will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her love for animals and her family will live on through the memories she created with those she loved.
