Jennifer "Jenny" Kobylinski, 42, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on the evening of November 24, 2024, with her loving family by her side, after a courageous five-year battle with triple negative breast cancer.

Jenny was born on July 7, 1982, in Chesterfield, Missouri, to Chris and Rich Kobylinski. She spent her early years in Missouri, developing a passion for sports and a love of competition. As a child, Jenny played softball, soccer, and basketball and was a big fan of Michigan's "Fab Five". She was also a lifelong fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, and her enthusiasm for sports remained with her throughout her life.

Jenny moved to Austin, Texas, in her teenage years, where she attended McNeil High School. She played basketball in her first two years, and also became involved in numerous school organizations. In her senior year, she was honored to be selected as Homecoming Queen, a testament to her popularity and leadership among her peers.

After graduating from McNeil High School in 2000, Jenny attended Texas Tech University, where she earned degrees in marketing and management in 2004. During her time at Tech, she became a proud member of Red Raider Nation, a devoted fan of Texas Tech athletics, and a player on the women's club lacrosse team, forging lifelong friendships along the way. Jenny was a regular at football and basketball games, both during her college years and as an enthusiastic alumna, traveling across the country to support her beloved Red Raiders.

Following her college graduation, Jenny worked as a media consultant for several media and advertising companies in the greater Dallas area. Known for her warmth, charisma, and professional expertise, Jenny thrived in her career, building strong relationships and friendships wherever she went.

In the fall of 2019, Jenny was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer, a diagnosis she faced with the same strength and determination she had applied to every challenge in her life. Throughout her treatment, Jenny continued to work, finding fulfillment in her career and taking pride in maintaining her independence for as long as possible. Even as her health declined, she remained optimistic, making plans for one last Texas Tech football game and dreaming of sitting on a beach in Mexico. Tragically, her battle with cancer ended on November 24, 2024, but her spirit and love of life will endure in the hearts of all who knew her.

Jenny is survived by her parents, Chris and Rich Kobylinski; her brother and sister-in-law, Ken and Caroline Kobylinski; her sister Cathy Kobylinski; her Aunt Debbie (Mike) Weber; her Aunt Diane Handeland; her Uncle Larry Holm; her Aunt Debbie (Tony) Perez; her three cousins, Lauren (Chris) Bolte, Matt (Kaylee) Perez, and Kyle Perez; her step-niece Shelby Stewart; her cousin Mary Paradowski; and her constant, canine companion Leo. She was preceded in death by her Aunt Glenda Holm and her grandparents, Joyce and Al Holm, and Mary and Gene Kobylinski.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Caroline and Ken Kobylinski for their unwavering support, taking care of Jenny during her illness and accompanying her to countless doctor's appointments and hospital visits. Special thanks are also extended to the oncology staff at UT Southwestern Medical Center, and the Visiting Nurse Association for their hospice care. We also want to thank her sister Cathy; Jess Manis; Matt, Jenni and Mason Kelley; Ramon Vega; Jess and Matt Schwartz; Kendra Camilli; Mellissa and Jason Garringer; Lindsay Kunefke; her many other friends from work and school, and finally all of the Texas Tech lacrosse team members who provided invaluable support throughout her entire ordeal.

Jenny's life was a testament to strength, kindness, and resilience. She will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her love for sports, her devotion to her family, and her ability to light up any room she entered. Her memory will live on in the countless lives she touched, and she will forever be missed by those who loved her.
