Ronnie Red Jones, 71, of Prosper, Texas passed away Saturday, April 28, 2018.Ron was born June 27, 1946 in Benham, Kentucky to William and Francis Jones.He graduated from Robert A. Taft High school in 1964 and went on to play baseball for his hometown team, the Cincinnati Reds. He was an avid athlete and spent most of his free time at the ball fields playing softball. When he was not playing softball he enjoyed crossword puzzles and soaking up the sun on the beach. One of Rons greatest accomplishments was being inducted to the Hudepohl Softball Hall of Fame in 2000.Ron is survived by his two sisters, Sandra and Phyllis; and his children,Angie, Robin, Jeff, Jesse, Taylor, and Alyssa.Visitation will be held Saturday, May 5th, from 10:00am to 1:00 pm in the Brooks Family Chapel ofthe North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.The funeral service will follow after the visitation beginning at 1:00 pm.Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.
