Jose Victor Funes, 71, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2026, surrounded by family.

Born on December 22, 1954, in Nuevo Laredo, Victor was the cherished son of Jose and Hortencia Funes the oldest of nine children. He was married for 45 years to Marisela "Mary" Funes, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion while raising their four children.

Victor will be remembered for his deep commitment to his family, his steady strength, and the warmth he brought to everyone around him. His greatest pride and joy were his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Marisela; his children, Arcelia Funes, Brenda Avila son in law Albert, son Victor Funes; daughter in law Amber Funes and his thirteen grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Hortencia Funes; his sister, Maria del Rosario; his brother, Jose Alfredo; and his son, Michael Angelo.

Victor's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
