Obituary

With deepest sorrow, we announce that Jaeden Joyce (JJ), age 20 our most beloved son, brother, family member and friend passed on October 16, 2020.Those who knew Jaeden, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives.Jaeden will be missed everyday by his mother, Kayla; brothers, Zachery and Easton; grandparents, Steve and Donna, Karen and Tim as well his loving aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many great friends.Jaeden grew up in Rapid City, South Dakota and later moved to Frisco, Texas. He attended Liberty High School and was working as an airplane mechanic until earlier this year. Jaeden was working on joining the military to serve a bigger purpose to help others and give his brother, Easton his G.I bill for college. His decision to take his own life a life of so much accomplishment and promise was completely unexpected and shocked everyone who knew him.Since Jaedens death, many have written about how special he was and how fortunate they were to have known him. They recall how he served as a leader and always brought a smile to their face, even if they did not want to. Jaeden loved to go fishing, being outdoors, working on his car or motorcycle, help others in any capacity and be a handyman. Jaeden had a heart of gold and from a young age wanted to protect and provide for others. They marvel at his encyclopedic knowledge of music and playing any kids of music without hesitation. They reminisce about his ever-present smile and the warmth, depth and intelligence behind it.Most of all, they recall the sheer pleasure of his company, how good he made them feel, how free they were to be themselves around him, and how much they will miss him.Jaeden cared about people in the purest way. He loved them for who they were and because he wished the best for them, without guile and without asking anything in return. As one of his close friends said of driving with Jaeden he would always say But did you die joking as they are riding in the car or on the motorcycle. Jaeden was a truly delightful, generous, easy-going, fun-loving human being.Jaeden had so much goodness, so much capacity to bring happiness to others and such a bright future. The world is a lesser place without him.Do not be afraid to reach out if you are struggling. We love you and want you here.Services for Jaeden will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Preston Trail Church, 8055 Independence Parkway, Frisco, Texas 75035.Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.
