Obituary

Kathleen Ann Campbell November 14, 1949 – April 25, 2025

With hearts full of love and gratitude for a life beautifully lived, faithfully walked and fiercely fought, we celebrate the homegoing of Kathleen Ann Campbell, who entered eternal rest surrounded by the love of her family. Kathy was born on November 14, 1949, in San Diego, California, to Robert Vincent Sinnott and Maxine Dolores Sinnott. She was the youngest of four siblings and is preceded in death by her beloved brothers, Robert (Bobby) and John (Jack) Sinnott.

Kathy's life was a radiant testament to faith, love, and joyful service. A devoted wife to Matthew Ross Campbell for nearly 53 years, their marriage was a sacred partnership marked by deep devotion, quiet strength, and unwavering commitment. Together they raised two sons: Scott Matthew Campbell (wife Robyn) and Patrick Ross Campbell (wife Leslie), who carry forward her legacy of love, compassion, and integrity. Of all the roles Kathy cherished in her full and faithful life, being "Grams" was the one she treasured most. She was a devoted and joyful grandmother to Colt, Clark, Caroline, and Clayton, each of whom brought light, laughter, and profound joy to her days. Additionally, she is lovingly survived by her brother Mike Sinnott, sister-in-laws, cousins, nieces, and many extended family members who cherished her deeply.

A woman deeply rooted in her Catholic faith, Kathy was a faithful and active member of All Saints Catholic Church in Dallas, Texas. Her life was a living prayer—marked by kindness, grace, and a servant's heart. She found God in the everyday moments: in the laughter of a child, the stillness of a daily walk, the shared warmth of a cup of coffee, and the devoted companionship of a dog. She found joy in caring for her home, tending to flowers in her yard, and staying active through regular exercise—simple rhythms that brought her peace and purpose.

Kathy spent her professional life nurturing young minds as an elementary school educator in California and Richardson ISD. Teaching was not just her career; it was her calling. She brought patience, creativity, and deep compassion into every classroom she entered, leaving an enduring mark on the lives of countless children, families and colleagues.

She often spoke with fondness about her California roots—sun-drenched days by the coast, the freedom of youth, and the beauty of growing up in a place so vibrant and full of possibility. Yet, her heart truly found its home in Texas where Matt's career brought them. In Dallas, Texas, she raised her sons, grew lifelong friendships, and embraced the fullness of life in her cherished neighborhood.

Even as she faced the long and difficult journey of a seven-year battle with cancer, Kathy's strength never wavered. She walked that road with courage, dignity, and a fierce, unshakable faith. Her spirit remained undimmed, her laughter ever present, and her love constant.

To know Kathy was to witness the love of God in action. She leaves behind a legacy of gentleness, wisdom, and joy—one that will continue to shine through the lives of those who knew and loved her.

A celebration of Kathy's life will be held at All Saints Catholic Church in Dallas on May 15, 2025 at 10:30 am, where her faith community will gather to honor a life well lived and a soul now at peace in the arms of her Savior. Following the Mass, interment will take place at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at 2:00 pm, where she will be laid to rest with the dignity and honor befitting her beautiful life.

In honor of Kathy's memory, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance at www.ocrahope.org in lieu of flowers.

The Campbell family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and caregivers who walked alongside Kathy with compassion and grace during her journey.

"Well done, good and faithful servant... Enter into the joy of your Lord." — Matthew 25:21
