Kenneth Leroy McKee was born on October 8, 1980 in Panorama City, California. He lived with his parents, David and Carol McKee (now Carol White), in Santa Barbara until he was seven years old. There he enjoyed playing frisbee and going to the beach. He moved to the Dallas, Texas area in 1988. He enjoyed camping, rafting, and flying while growing up. He soloed an ultralight aircraft at the age of fourteen, soloed a Cessna 152 at sixteen, and earned his private pilot certificate at seventeen. He went into the United States Marine Corps at seventeen. There he learned computer technology and served four years. Afterwards, he worked under a civilian tech contractor assigned to the United States Air Force F-16 unit that protects the Washington, DC area at Andrews Air Force Base. Ken returned to the Dallas area in 2004 and worked in the IT industry. Kens last years were difficult for him as he struggled with several mental illnesses. However, he had a big heart and was known to give to others many times. On October 13, 2022 he was struck late at night by a vehicle as he was crossing the road as a pedestrian. He passed away on October 16 from severe brain injury. Although we will miss him greatly, we are comforted to know that in the last year of his life Ken had accepted Jesus Christ as his passed away and Savior. We look forward to our reunion with him in Heaven someday. Ken is survived by his mother Carol White, step father Brad White, father David McKee, step mother Neina McKee, grandma Helen Devine, brothers Hunter and Chase McKee, sister Piper McKee. His brother Stephen McKee went to be with our passed away in 2011. Ill bet theyre having a big time now. There will be a visitation on Friday, November 16, 2022 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am; the Celebration of Life service will begin at 11:00 am both at the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234. The interment, with military honors, will follow the service at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75011 at 1:30 pm in Lane 3.Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.
