James "Jim" Lawrence Kiniry, son of Jim Kiniry and Elsie M. Kiniry, was born December 5, 1930, the youngest of five children. Jim died on Saturday, October 6, 2012 in Cedar Hill, Texas at the age of 81 years.Jim went to school at SMU and graduated from University of Texas. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, was stationed in Tokyo, Japan for a year and in Pusan, Korea a year, then on the destroyer U.S.S. Kidd his remaining time in the service.He was employed for 27 years with Sun Oil Company and after his retirement he managed rental properties. He is survived by his sister, Mercedes Thornburg and his loyal friends, Patsy Thompson, C.D. Chipsy, and Jimie Thompson.Inurnment with military honors will be held on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 1:15 p.m. at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211.Please send the family condolences and sign the guest book on this site.
