Steven Wayne Kittrell, with his wife of 23 years holding his hand and surrounded by friends, closed his blue eyes forever on January 29, 2012, after an eight year battle with multiple medical problems. Steven, who was 64, is now at peace and has joined his Dad, beloved family members and good friends who preceded him in death. Steven was born in Mobile, Alabama, on July 22, 1947, and was the son of William Edward Kittrell. The family moved to Garland, Texas, where Steven graduated from Brian Adams High School in 1965. He then attended Texas Tech University where he played football. After college Steven joined the Navy and was honorably discharged in November of 1970 with Honorable Mention. He is survived by his wife, Susan; daughter, Melissa Kittrell; step-daughters, Shelly Skinner and Kelly Yordi; step-son, Ryan Young; four beautiful grandchildren, Jerry Ray, Chelsie, Blakely and Wesley; and great granddaughter, Rosa Lee.
