Gusta Kliman was born on November 10, 1932 in Radautz, Romania to Moshe and Esther Josler. She passed away on Friday, December 14, 2012 at her residence in Plano, Texas. A graveside service was held on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas, with Rabbi Nasanya Zakon officiating. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Jack (Yechiel) Kliman; daughter, Rachele Kliman; and daughter-in-law, Elise Balkin Kliman. She is survived by son, Henry Kliman and wife, Patricia of Plano, Texas; sisters, Rezi Rosenbaum and husband, Sammy of Ramat Gan, Israel and Yafa Alper of Rehovot, Israel; granddaughters, Aliyah Kuchinsky and husband, Cory of San Antonio, Texas and Rivae Balkin Kliman of Dallas, Texas; step-grandson, Eric Reed and wife, Elizabeth of Coppell, Texas; great grandchildren, Preston, Peyton, and Brylen. Gusta also leaves many beloved great nephews and nieces, and their families, in both Israel and the United States.A Holocaust Survivor, Gusta helped her parents and sister survive the war by selling matches and candy and vodka to the Russian soldiers.
