Gregory Anthony Knapp Jr. was born on January 11, 1931 in Cincinnati, Ohio and died Wednesday, December 19, 2012in Farmers Branch, Texas.He graduated Trinity College, Hartford, CT in 1952 with a BS in Geology, spent 5 years in USAF obtaining an MS in Geophysics in 1954, St. Louis University, then worked highly classifiedassignments during the ColdWar years. Returned to civilian life and worked at Bear Creek Mining Co., Kennecott Copper, and consultant at CIGNA Corp.He was a member of his beloved St. Matthias Anglican Church, Old Geezers Tennis Group, and Brookhaven C.C.Survivors include wife Doris, daughters Cindy (and Bill Upton), Jennifer (and Jason Hutson) and son Greg Jr. Plus six wonderful grand kids, Sara, Jacquelyn, Marlowe, Ryan, Kyle, and Layne. Services will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 11:00 am at St. Matthias Anglican Church, 3460 Forest Lane, Dallas, Texas 75234.In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your local animal shelter.
